When you created GG were you not able to decide what gender you wanted it to be so you made it an assigned female at birth who identifies as non-binary and prefers to look like a male so that you wouldn't have to decide?

No, I always knew I wanted the third character to be non-binary. I neglected assigning it an AGAB for a while though, finally deciding it was AFAB when I started relating to it more, and I also thought I shouldn’t erase the part of the non-binary experience that comes with being assigned a gender at birth and being expected to conform to that.

I’m unsure if i should finish this, and also if I did, if it should go longer to include Rocko waking up and comforting GG. On one hand, nightmare is one of the OCtober prompts and GG is prone to them, mostly relating to its past, but on the other hand, I was uncomfortable drawing GG is a dress as it felt disrespectful to the character. Plus, I’m not trans, so trying to show such an intimate part of a trans character’s life feels like I may be intruding on something or portraying the experience wrong. So, let me know your opinions
GG’s experiences draw heavily on my own, so I know my portrayal of apothisexuality is correct. I actually used to suffer from recurring nightmares very similar (but obviously much worse) to this one, In that way it might be important to draw this so I can process what happened to me.
A detail I really like in this is when it feels its hair to make sure it’s short. I have the same habit whenever I remember or experience something invalidating, to remind myself that I found my labels, have changed, and am safe. Giving the same habit to GG as a way to self-soothe was kinda cool.
So really I’m only worried about the dress part. But I’m not sure what other way there is to convey that this nightmare is a trapped-in-marriagekind of deal, as well as a reflection of the trauma from being forced to present femininely for most of its life.
It's cool to draw your trans charters past or nightmare where they're wearing feminine or masculine outfits (depending on if there FTM or MTF) since it's supposed to be traumatic for them or depressing.
